13 Days Journey to The Home Of Martial Art

For many people, when you think of China, you automatically relate it with Bruce Lee, Jackie Chang, and of course, the Chinese " Kung Fu". It might be your dream to visit the Shaolin Temple, where the Shaolin Martial Art originates. This trip is planned as a low-cost tour for students, teachers and other tourists who are interested in learning more about martial art and traditional Chinese culture.



 
ITINERARY
D1 Arrive in Beijing, You will be welcomed by your local tour guide and transferred to your hotel.
 
D2

See Tiananmen Square, then the ancient Forbidden City, the Imperial Palace and the beautiful Summer Palace. Walk through traditional courtyard neighborhoods dating Ming Dynasty, Beijing's Hutongs. Enjoy a famous Peking duck dinner.

Full day excursion to the Great Wall of China that now offers a cable car to the summit. Later, on the return, drive along the famed Sacred Way to visit the museum of the Ming Tombs. Enjoy a traditional Chinese entertainment while sipping the tea and local dessert delicacies in Laoshe Tea House.

Early morning, board an Express Train to the capital of Henan province, Zhengzhou. The train arrives in the late afternoon, and you will check directly into your hotel.

 
D5 After breakfast, your guide will take you to the bank of the Yellow river, along which the Chinese culture originated. That is why the Chinese regard the Yellow river as the Mother River. You can climb a little into the mountain to have a view of the grandeur of the river valley. After you continue to drive to the Dengfeng city, where the Shaolin Temple is located. Check into hotel.

In the morning, you will visit Shaolin Temple. Spend your whole day here to savor the Buddhism culture and art in this 1400 years old Temple. In the afternoon, you can enjoy an exciting martial art performance by the Shaolin monks. Stay overnight nearby the temple to talk with them or exercise with them.

 
D7 Today is free time. You can practice the Martial art, or you can visit the nearby shops or villages, or just relax.
 
D8 Drive to Luoyang, a historical city who was the capital of China for nine dynasties. You will visit one of the three most famous Stone Carvings in China-the Long Men Grottoes which is a World Culture Heritage. Evening: check into a hotel in Luoyang.
   
D9 Depart Luoyang to Xi'an by bus. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Visit the ancient city wall, and the Wild Goose Pagoda.
   
D10 Today you will be marveled to see the life-sized Terra Cotta Warriors, who have been standing underground to protect the tomb of the Chinese first emperor for over two thousand years. Also, you will visit the famous Shaanxi Provincial museum. Evening: enjoy a colorful music and dancing dinner show in Tang Dynasty Style.
   
D11 Morning is free to explore in Xi'an to do some shopping. Afternoon: you will be transferred to the train station for an overnight train back to Beijing.
   
D12 Upon arrival in Beijing , you will be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore.
 
D13 After breakfast, your tour guide will transfer you to the airport to see you off.
