Drive 270 km from Chengdu to Yaan, sightseeing in Hailuogou Nature Reserve. Stay in a 2 star hotel.

Drive 195 km from Yaan to Kangding, you reached the eastern side of Erlang Mountain, a rich botanical region, more than 1,000 plants grow here.From bottom to the top of the mountain, there are different forest zones. Between 1,500 - 1,800 m, the famous Davidia tree was discovered by a French vicar David in 1868, and brought to west by Ernest Wilson. From April to June, more than 20 species of azalea flowering with multi-colours; The Red Tree-Azalea flowering on the high Abies tree is a wonderful scene. Upon arrival, enjoy a city tour in Kangding, sightseeing in Paoma Mountain which is famous for its love song. Stay in a 2 star hotel.

Drive 150 km from Kangding to Yajiang, sightseeing the Gongga Mountain which is the highest mountain in Sichuan (7,556m). Surrounded by dozen mountains above 6000 m, it is a splendid view. During 1928 - 1930, Dr. Rock reached Gongga Mountain and investigated its glaciers. His Mt. Gongga adventure stories and photos were published on the US National Geographic Magazine. Drive 140 km from Yajiang to Litang. Visit Litang Dajin Temple. Litang is one of the highest cities in the world (4,100m). It is surrounded by grassy high plains. Every year in August, the Horse Racing Festival is an attractive event here. Stay in a 2 star hotel.

Drive 150 km from Litang to Haizi Mountain Nature Reserve. Once stepped into it, you feel the space frozen, the time stopped. You can feel the remoteness and vastness of the universe which appears in its most primitive looks. Mt.Haizi with an altitude of 3,600 - 5,000m, is the largest remnants of glaciation on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. With its glacial erosion topography full developed, there are 1145 lakes in an area of 3,200 sq.km. It is the most important base for the study of the topography of the glaciers.
Fossils of dinosaurs and eucalyptus were discovered here in 1982.After sightseeing in the nature reserve, drive 60 km to Daocheng, enjoy a hot spring bath, stay in a 2 star hotel.

 

 

Enjoy a city tour in Daocheng which has a long history and splendid cultures, it's Tibetan houses were built by big rocks and decorated with colorful wood windows. There are 13 Temples.

Ride horse for about 5 km from Riwa to Yading Nature Reserve. Visit Chonggu Temple,Sightseeing the 3 holy mountains --- Xiannairi(6032m), Yangmaiyong (5958m),and Xianuoduoji (5958m)).The 3 Goddess Peaks are the Holyland of Tibetan people. Every year, a lot of Tibetans take pilgrimage trips from faraway to Yading to worship the 3 peaks. Stay at Chonggu Temple.

Continue sightseeing inside Yading Nature Reserve, ride horse to see the Seven Colors Lake, the Pearl Lake, and the Milk River. Picnic at Luorong Plain. Stay at Chonggu Temple.
