15 Days,Trekking along Nujiang River and Dulongjiang River

Dulongjiang(Single Dragon)River originates in Tibet, it flows through the northwest corner of Yunnan then into Burma. Its Yunnan section is 80 km long, clamped by mountains on both sides, Dandanlika Mountain on the west, Gaoligong Mountain on the east. There are 3 minorities, Dulong, Nu, Lisu, living in this area, they still keep very primitive folk customs, many are still living on hunting and fishing. It's really an exciting adventure to trek into this remote and mysterious kingdom.
 
ITINERARY

Kunming
Arrive in Kunming, meet at airport, and transfer to a 4 star hotel.

Kunming to Liuku via Baoshan
Take a morning flight from Kunming to Baoshan, then transfer to Liuku, the city by the Nujiang River. Sightseeing in Liuku. Stay in a 2 star hotel.

Liuku-Gongshan
Drive along the Nujiang River from Liuku to Gongshan, on the way, visit a hot spring, a Nu village and a Lisu village. Prepare horses or porters for your trekking tour. Stay in a 1 star hotel in Gongshan.

Liuku-Gongshan
Trek 20 km from Gongshan (1450m) to Qiqi (2000m). Today, you will trek up the east slope of Gaoligong Mountain. On the way, you will pass the Gazhu nature protection station (1700m). Stay in a local guesthouse or camping.

Gongshan to Qiqi
Trek 18 km from Qiqi (2000m) to Dongshaofang (3200m). Today, you will continue trek up the east slope of Gaoligong Mountain. On the way, you have to cross several streams. Camping.
   
D6 Qiqi to Sandui
Trek 5 km up to the Nanmowang Pass at 3620m, then trek down the west slope of Gaoligong Mountain to Sandui at 2600m. Camping.

Sandui to Bapo
Trek 16 km down the mountain slope from Sandui to Bapo by the Single Dragon River. On the way, you have to cross several streams. Stay in a local guesthouse or camping.
 

 

 

D8 Bapo to Qinlangdang
Trek 30 km along the Single Dragon River from Bapo to Qinlangdang, enjoy the grand night view of the 120m-high Moon Waterfall. Camping.
   
D9 Bapo
Trek back to Bapo, on the way, visit a Dulong village. Camping.
   
D10 Bapo to Kongdang
Trek along the Single Dragon River from Bapo to Kongdang, on the way, you will see several suspending bridges, and several Dulong villages. Stay in a local guesthouse or camping.

back to Gongshan
Trek along the Kongdang-Gongshan Road for 3 days back to Gongshan, on the way, you will cross the 3346m-high Heipupolo Pass. You will camp for 2 nights on the way. When back to Gongshan, stay in the 1 star hotel.
   
D14 Gongshan -Liuku
Drive from Gongshan back to Baoshan via Liuku. Stay in the 4 star Landu Hotel.
   
D15 Liuku-Kunming
Take a morning flight from Baoshan back to Kunming, then connect your departure flight back home.
