Climb The Haba Snow Mountain - The Third Highest Peak In Yunnan

Haba Snow Mountain is situated
in northwest part of Yunnan
province, it stands 5396m
above sea level, face the
Jade Dragon Snow Mountain(5596m)
in Lijiang, between the two
snow mountains is the Yangtze,
which formed the well known
Tiger-leaping Gorge. The scenery
is magnificent. Up the Haba,
there are 3 beautiful lakes
which are surrounded by colorful
flowers in spring time. In
1995, our travel company organized
a tourist group climbed to
the top of the Haba Snow Mt..
From our experience, we believe
this mountain is an ideal
place for travelers who want
to practice mountaineering
skills.

Arrive in Kunming, meet
at airport and transfer
to the New Era Hotel(4
star). Kunming, called
the City of Eternal
Spring, is more than
2200 years old. |

Take
a morning flight to
Lijiang, meet at airport
and then drive to Haba
Village. On the way,
sightseeing in the famous
Tiger-Leaping Gorge.
Overnight at a guesthouse
in Haba Village. |

With local people's
help, trek up the Haba
Snow Mountain for about
5 hours, then build
your Base Camp at a
suitable place about
3800 m above sea level. |

|
In
the morning, hike to
the nearby lakes to
enjoy the beautiful
scenery. After picnic
lunch, move up to a
higher place (about
4200 m) to build your
Camp 1. |

If
the weather is good,
try to reach the top
of the snow mountain(5396
m). If the weather is
not good, you also can
try to get as high as
possible. Overnight
in Camp 1. |

Today,
if the weather turns
good, you have another
chance to try to reach
the top, then trek down
to Base Camp and overnight
there. |

Trek
down to Haba Village,
then drive back through
the Tiger-leaping Gorge
to Lijiang. |

Sightseeing
in Lijiang old town which
is a World Cultural Heritage,
and the Black Dragon Pool.
After dinner, attend the
Naxi Classical Music concert. |

Take
a morning flight back
to Kunming, after lunch,
transfer to airport and
see you off. |
